Welcome to the Rare Spark website! We hope that you will find your visit useful. Our aim with this website is to tell you a little bit about who we are and what we do.

Our core area of business is in the research, development and implementation of travel plans for a variety of organisations. However our experience within the industry often leads us into other project work for some of the organisations that we work with.

A Travel Plan is a package of measures and initiatives with the aim of reducing the number of car journeys made by people travelling to and from a site by providing them with greater choice.

We have an in house GIS mapping facility which is regularly brought in to support the research phase of a travel plan. We also have the ability to develop on-line and paper travel survey forms, which we use in measuring travel trends for our clients.

The team at Rare Spark are committed to developing travel plans which can be implemented and measured over time in order to meet defined targets. Through implanted coordinators, we are able to take a travel plan from paper to reality and to achieve results.

In supporting the implementation of travel plans we have developed Multiflow, the first travel plan management system to truly include all modes of transport. The system has been developed within Rare Spark based on our experience of putting together travel plans for a wide variety of organisations.

We have also started to develop a travel plan glossary which covers some of the key terminology used within the industry. This is a constantly expanding list and we are always open to new additions – please e-mail us with suggestions.

The nature of our business means that we can help our clients to reduce their environmental impact. We also endeavour to consider the environment in everything that we do.
