Mapping

We regularly use our in-house mapping facility in support of a range of projects, including; Transport Statements, Transport Assessments and Travel Plans. We use a variety of techniques and software applications in order to provide the most useful maps to support a project.

Maps can be used to illustrate a number of aspects of a project. Spot or Cluster Maps can be produced to show the distribution of residential postcodes in relation to a single site or multiple sites.

Each spot represents an individual postcode and provides an instant visual overview of were people live.

This can be used in identifying clusters of postcodes where carsharing and mass transit may be appropriate. Spot maps are often used in support of relocation projects in order to identify potential new sites.

Thematic Maps can also be produced by Rare Spark to show the concentration of residences within a defined area such as postcode area or sector, region or county.

Thematic Maps can be used to identify densely populated areas when considering transport & relocation options.

Specialist maps can be produced to meet the requirements of a given project, for example this may include maps showing routes to a specific location or where cars are parked when visiting a site.
